Educator/Education: goes to - Dr. Nancy Bredemeyer, Professor and Chair at Indian River State College! (tie): Design Achievement: goes to - Mr. Chester F. Sagenkahn. FASID of Sagenkahn Interior! (tie): Design Achievement: goes to - Mr. James Merrick Smith , ASID! Below were the criteria for the Hall of Fame selection process: Eligibility & Basic Criteria Hall of Fame nominees should be living individuals who have contributed dramatically to the growth and professionalism of the interior design industry or ASID FSC. Hall of Fame nominees do not need to be past or present ASID members to qualify for consideration. Evaluation Guidelines - In order to be considered for recommendation, nomination forms must be completed in their entirety; incomplete forms will be disqualified. - Pre-written or duplicated forms drafted or completed by someone other than the individual signing and submitting the nomination is not permissible and will be disqualified. - Each selection is based on the merit of the nominee, not by the number of nominations. - Nomination entries submitted by groups (committee, community) will be considered as one nomination. - Only nominations made by ASID voting members will be considered; nominations from any members of a nominees’ immediate family will not be accepted. - The hall of Fame Committee will review and complete an evaluation form for each candidate. During the first week of September, the nomination forms received are photocopied and sent to the Hall of Fame Committee. These individuals review all nominations made. The committee is not required to recommend any nominees and may recommend up to three candidates.
